Entry-level General Merchandise Clerk responsible for delivering remarkable customer service with product knowledge across departments, stocking and merchandising displays, and assisting customers with questions. Responsibilities include building rapport with customers, answering queries or directing to a team member, stocking product and maintaining displays, and utilizing technology to complete tasks. Works across multiple departments (Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral) in a fast-paced environment; requires strong listening and communication skills, willingness to learn, problem-solving, and the ability to stand for long periods. Emphasis on teamwork, community orientation, and contributing to Meijer’s family culture; weekend/evening shifts may be required.
