Job Summary
Fashion Design Instructor (Sessional Faculty) at LaSalle College Vancouver. Teach and lead curriculum delivery within the Art and Design department for Fashion Design programs, managing teaching loads (minimum of one to a maximum of five sections per term), designing course outlines and rubrics, providing student mentorship, administering attendance and grading, and collaborating with Academic Advisors and the Program Director to support student learning and program quality. Requires a Master’s Degree in design or related discipline, at least 3 years of relevant experience, strong Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office 365 skills, and a commitment to equity, diversity and professional development. Presence on campus with regular office hours, with duties spanning teaching, curriculum development, administrative tasks, and participation in program-level activities and reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in design or another related discipline (e.g. Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Jewellery Design)
- Minimum of 3 years related and increasingly responsible experience in Academics or industry
- Educational /teacher training or advanced certification preferred
- Excellent computer literacy skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud especially Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign and Microsoft Office 365
