Job Summary
Monitor communication intercepts in Farsi, Pashto, Dari, Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi to provide oral summaries and typed gists. Operate recording and playback equipment to transcribe audio and video sources into English or foreign languages with verbatim accuracy. Identify conversants using voice libraries and context, while maintaining slang and code lists for intercepted communications. Validate transcripts against source media to ensure true rendering and sign all work products as required. Enter summaries into digital systems, arrange paperwork into binders, and comply with Court regulations concerning minimization procedures. Perform part-time to full-time shift-based coverage Monday through Sunday to meet government customer deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
- Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 4 years of combined work and educational experience
- Candidate must successfully undergo and pass a language assessment in the four main categories: speaking, listening, reading, and writing in both native tongue and English
- Excellent command of the English language and have the ability to provide clear, concise, oral and written communications
