Job Summary
Farrowing Specialist responsible for assisting with pre-farrow room prep, inducing and executing farrowing, ensuring proper day-one pig care, identifying piglets needing nurse sow or litter swaps, moving sows/piglets as directed, administering vaccines, maintaining lactating sows, processing piglets, and keeping accurate documentation. Duties include maintaining bio-security and animal welfare, enforcing SFI training requirements, upholding PQA certification, and contributing to a safe, collaborative work environment. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and participate in building/maintenance tasks; weekend and holiday rotations apply. Location: Truman, MN, US.
