Job Summary
Assist the Farmers Market Student Coordinator in organizing and managing the AS Farmers Market on campus, including setup and breakdown, monitoring vendor placement and paperwork, coordinating activities (e.g., cooking demos), managing vendors’ payments, finding new vendors, conducting outreach to the campus and local communities, and promoting events via social media and campus outreach.
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled at SFSU with a minimum of 6 units for undergraduates or 4 units for graduates
- Ability to interface effectively with persons at all professional levels and within all cultural groups
- Willingness to learn and grow beyond one’s current state of cross-cultural awareness
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle projects/assignments while providing excellent professional service to SFSU community
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
- Ability to lift over 25 lbs
- Ability to stand for 4 hr shifts
