Job Summary
Shop for seasonal food items, safely transport them to Christ House, and sort, label, and store all donations in compliance with ServSafe regulations. Coordinate with culinary staff to ensure proper receipt and storage of food while representing the organization positively to Food Rescue volunteers and partner organizers. This role requires availability every Sunday, reliable transportation between the market and site, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds in varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available to work every Sunday
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Willingness to complete ServSafe certification
- Reliable transportation to travel between Farmer's Market and work site
- Valid driver's license
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and other inclement weather
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
