Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair agricultural equipment, vehicles, and facilities including tractors, semi-trucks, livestock handling systems, and farm buildings. Perform engine, transmission, brake, and hydraulic repairs while executing preventative maintenance schedules and coordinating seasonal readiness. Execute MIG, TIG, and oxy-acetylene welding to fabricate modifications and repair structural components. Maintain accurate repair records, manage parts inventory, and ensure shop safety compliance. Full-time Monday through Friday with occasional evening, weekend, or emergency repairs as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- CDL is a plus
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb, crawl, and work in confined spaces
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work around livestock, dust, mud, grease, and loud equipment
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment and shop machinery
- Monday through Friday with overtime as needed during busy seasons
- Occasional evening, weekend, or emergency repairs
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical training in diesel mechanics, agricultural mechanics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience repairing agricultural equipment, heavy equipment, diesel engines, or commercial vehicles
- Experience with hydraulic systems, electrical diagnostics, and diesel engine repair
