Job Summary
Operates and drives farm machinery to prepare fields for planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops, including cotton and milo. Performs inspections of equipment, manages and handles pesticides and fertilizers, and maintains a clean work area. Participates in safety programs and may assist with training new employees.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work daily and extended hours as necessary
- Ability to properly manage and handle pesticides, fertilizers, fuels and lubricants
- Ability to understand and comply with posted work rules and procedures
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing and be able to safely operate vehicles
