Job Summary
Prep poultry houses for clean out by emptying feeders, removing debris, and raising or lowering equipment as needed. Strip all litter, scrape cement floors, and sanitize walls, slats, and machinery using designated chemicals per SOPs. Assist equipment operators and move to other departments when required. Lift and move up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work cooperatively in dusty, outdoor environments with exposure to chemicals and live poultry. Work nights, weekends, and holidays in a routine six-day schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Work with chemicals, such as detergents, disinfectants
- Lift and move 50 pounds
- Routinely work up to 6 days a week, including weekends and holidays
- Routine handling and interacting with live poultry
- Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
- Standing for extended periods of time (6 hours)
- Grip, grasp or twist using hands and wrists
- Lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50lbs
- Bend and stoop repetitively throughout out shift
- Prolonged exposure to dry and dusty environments
- Works cooperatively with a team
- Strong sense of personal responsibility
