Fannie Mae Guideline Expert

Review underwriting guidelines across multiple mortgage product types (Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo, and Non-QM) to ensure compliance and proper structuring of deals. Serve as a liaison between Sales, Underwriting, and Investor teams to facilitate smooth communication and timely deal flow. Analyze loan scenarios to ensure guideline adherence, provide guidance on loan products and best practices, and assist in resolving complex underwriting and loan structuring issues. Collaborate with underwriting to ensure efficient approvals and identify process improvements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in underwriting guidelines, loan programs, and investor requirements. Work with investors to ensure accurate and timely submission of loans, track deal performance, ensure complete and accurate documentation, and address any post-closing issues that may arise. Skills include strong mortgage underwriting knowledge, ability to analyze complex loan structures, excellent communication, detail-oriented organization, and 7+ years of relevant experience.
