Job Summary
Partner with expectant parents and parents of young children in their home and virtually to support the parent-child relationship and share activities. Help families understand child development, work toward family goals, and connect them with community resources through referrals. Conduct home visits in Skowhegan for a full-time schedule of 36-40 hours, with flexibility for remote work when not in the field. Kennebec Valley Community Action Program's Maine Families Home Visiting Program is growing.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree or equivalent college credit
- two years supervised work experience with families and young children
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social work, or related field
- one year previous supervised work experience with families and young children
- Ability to pass State Bureau of Investigation, DHHS, DMV, National Sex Offender Registry and Fraud background checks
- Vehicle with liability insurance
