Job Summary
Family Unification Specialist provides trauma-informed, family-centered support to families in crisis and those involved with Child and Family Services, focusing on reunification goals. Responsibilities include coaching, training, and monitoring for safety; risk assessment; maintaining confidentiality; completing documentation per COA/ARM/contract policies; representing YBGR with partners and court stakeholders; participating in supervision, quality improvement, and required trainings; and contributing to program outcomes. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, at least two years of relevant experience, a valid passenger-vehicle license, background checks, First Aid/CPR certification, and strong interpersonal skills. Part-time with potential transition to full-time; salary $19.21-$21.62/hour, aligned to 11-step pay schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in human services or mental health related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- minimum of two years of experience working with youth, families, or child protective services
- License to operate passenger vehicle
- Criminal/Child Abuse Clearance as required by the State of Montana
- First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain
- Demonstrated knowledge of family systems and child welfare concepts
- Strong communication, listening, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Ability to engage individuals with mental health, chemical dependency, or disabilities
