Job Summary
Family Support Worker roles involve gathering information on participants' neurodevelopmental concerns, needs and risks through interviews and observations, providing referrals, guidance and problem solving, developing and implementing intervention plans, and participating in integrated case management. The position is a temporary full-time contract located in Maple Ridge, BC, requiring a two-year related diploma, one year of related experience, BCGEU membership, valid BC driver's license, access to a vehicle, and a clean criminal record.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year diploma in a related human / social service field
- One (1) year recent related experience
- BCGEU membership
- Valid Class 5 or 7N BC Driver's License (or ability to obtain)
- Access to a personal vehicle for work-related travel
- Documentation of legal authorization to work in Canada
- Criminal record clearance
- Basic First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain prior to hire
