Job Summary
Support families visiting loved ones in prison from the visitor centre by providing information and guidance, organising activities for children, ensuring refreshments, and helping create a welcoming, stress-free visits environment. Work closely with colleagues and partner agencies to uphold safeguarding and child-protection procedures, contribute to improving family support services, participate in induction and training, and apply calm, sensitive handling in challenging circumstances.
Required Qualifications
- proven right to work in the UK
- DBS (Disclose and Barring Service) clearance/check
- safeguarding and child protection procedures training
- ability to work with adults and children in challenging situations
- probationary period (6 months)
- identity verification and employment references
