Job Summary
The Family Support Specialist will provide essential mental health services to homeless women and children in need of reunification and additional family stabilization services. Implement evidence-based mental health interventions (Family Centered Treatment) at transitional home settings, conduct individual and group therapy to address trauma and family dynamics, develop and implement treatment plans, perform assessments and screenings, engage with community resources to strengthen support networks, and maintain accurate client documentation. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, two years of relevant experience, English fluency, strong communication, teamwork, and a passion for the mission. Schedule is Monday–Friday with potential nights/weekends; location is on-site in Sacramento, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
- 2 years of experience with experience working in child welfare or family services settings
- Fluent in English language (spoken and written)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
