Job Summary
Provide initial cross-system assessments of service and resource needs for parents and families of children with significant social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Deliver care management services to enable families' access to necessary supports and conduct classroom, school, and community presentations. Offer psychosocial rehabilitation and family peer support services while providing administrative support across school-based clinics. This bilingual English/Spanish role supports K-3 students in Peekskill City schools, with a salary of $30,000 for 21 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- minimum of two years of experience working with parents/families of children/adolescents
- Bilingual Spanish-English proficiency
- Ability to work effectively to engage with and support families/parents of children/youth with significant social, emotional or behavioral needs across the full economic spectrum
- Ability to form strong working professional relationships with school and social service personnel
- Proficiency in the use of computer and standard office software applications
- Valid driver's license
- access to a reliable vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- Current license/license eligibility as a credentialed Family Peer Advocate
