Job Summary

Lead and support the development and implementation of Family Support Services within the behavioral health home team, drawing on personal parenting experience to guide families and co-workers. The role emphasizes leadership and technical assistance to deliver integrated care for youth and families, with a focus on sharing lived experiences to support families navigating child-serving systems such as behavioral health, child welfare, special education, and juvenile justice. A valid Maine driver's license and proof of auto insurance are required, and candidates should be within 30 miles of Oakland, ME. The position offers mileage reimbursement, flexible schedule, PTO, and ongoing training.

Required Qualifications

  • Three or more years of lived experience in parenting or in a parenting role with at least one child/youth that lived with you for three or more years and who has emotional, developmental, behavioral, substance use or mental health concerns
  • Three or more years of lived experience with that one child/youth in navigating child-serving systems (behavioral health, child welfare, special education or juvenile justice) on behalf of that child
  • Proof of vehicle insurance at $50K/$100K and a valid Maine driver's license
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Entry level computer skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Parent/Family Peer certification or provisional
