Job Summary
Lead and provide peer-family support within the BHHO team to ensure well-coordinated, integrated care for youth and families. Provide leadership and technical assistance in developing and implementing BHHO family support services, and share lived experiences with families, coworkers, and community providers. Requires three+ years of lived parenting experience with at least one child/youth, and the ability to articulate those experiences. Must hold Maine driver’s license, vehicle insurance, a high school diploma or equivalent, and Parent/Family Peer certification. Mileage reimbursement, flexible schedule, PTO, and working within 30 miles of home are offered.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of vehicle insurance at $50K/$100K and a valid Maine drivers license
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Entry level computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Parent/Family Peer certification or provisional
- Three or more years of lived experience in parenting or in a parenting role with at least one child/youth that lived with you for three or more years who has emotional, developmental, behavioral, substance use or mental health concerns
- Three or more years of lived experience navigating child-serving systems of care (childrens behavioral health, child welfare, special education or juvenile justice) on behalf of that child
