Job Summary
Conduct regular home visits with expectant families to build strong relationships and develop individualized family partnership plans. Connect families with community resources, referrals, and support services while recruiting and enrolling eligible mothers, infants, and toddlers. Plan and facilitate parent training, support groups, and family engagement activities, and maintain accurate records in the program management system. Provide office, classroom, and phone coverage as needed to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families. Collaborate with education, health, and family services staff to address family needs, and participate in community outreach events and required training. Work a flexible schedule including evening hours and weekends as needed, utilizing a valid NJ driver's license for local travel.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in social work or related field
- Communicates clearly and effectively
- Must demonstrate English proficiency - both oral and written
- Demonstrates good computer skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including recruitment and community outreach efforts during evening hours and weekends as needed
- Ability to physically care for children when needed
- Valid NJ driver's license preferred and use of own vehicle for self-transportation; local travel is required
