Job Summary
Facilitate parent involvement by recruiting children through community canvassing, scheduling monthly parent meetings with guest speakers, and providing transportation for families to medical, dental, and council meetings. Act as the primary liaison between the community and the Head Start program while maintaining confidential record-keeping systems and ensuring required training sessions are delivered. Assist families in developing goals and monitor health services, substituting in classrooms or driving the Head Start vehicle as needed. Maintain accurate sign-in/out sheets for billing and complete 15 annual professional development hours. This part-time role operates within a professional center with occasional classroom exposure, requiring a Class C Commercial Driver's License with a PS endorsement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/General education Degree
- completion of a FDC credential within 18 months of hire
- Associate Degree or higher in Social Work
- experience working with case management
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver's License
- PS Endorsement
- Approved CDL Physical Exam
- Valid Kentucky driver's license
- reliable transportation
- satisfactory background checks
- Pass a pre-employment drug test
- random drug testing as required
- State required minimum vehicle liability insurance
- uninsured motorist insurance
- minimum of 15 clock hours of allowable professional development completed annually
