Job Summary
Family Support Specialist 2 provides in-home and community-based, evidence-based interventions to strengthen families, design individualized plans, and collaborate with treatment teams across homes, schools, and communities. Responsibilities include assessing needs, delivering targeted interventions, documenting in EMR, contributing to PQI initiatives, and upholding safety and organizational policies. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (or equivalent experience), 21+ years old, background checks, ability to drive to client locations, and strong communication skills with cultural humility. Roles include participation in supervision and ongoing training, engagement with diverse youth and families, and a commitment to professional integrity and the agency’s values.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or equivalent combination of education and experience (6 years human services experience = Bachelor’s degree; each year of post-secondary human services education = 1 year experience)
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Successful completion of fingerprint criminal background check and child abuse registry clearance as required by the State of Montana
- Ability to drive to other YBGR locations and client homes, schools, and communities
- Proficiency in electronic documentation (EMR) and typing 35 wpm
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to YBGR’s values; willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR and Violence Intervention Prevention certifications
