Job Summary
Family Support Services Specialist provides outreach, enrollment and intake for the FSS program; coordinates intake processes and coordinates with WRWW, community partners and families to build caseload. Responsibilities include assisting with applying for childcare subsidies and early childhood services (ECEAP/Head Start, Preschool), coordinating cross-department referrals, supporting school navigation (IEP/504), connecting families to enrichment and behavioral/mental health resources, organizing parent-child programming, fostering culturally responsive engagement, conducting home visits, and maintaining ongoing engagement with refugee/immigrant families. The role involves developing and maintaining partnerships with local organizations, administering child development screenings, documenting program activities, and traveling to participant homes or program sites. Requires mature Christian faith, ability to work independently and in teams, strong communication skills, and valid driver’s license; CPR/First Aid certification preferred. Preferred qualifications include collaboration skills, organizational ability, cultural humility, program planning experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and languages commonly spoken in refugee communities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
