Job Summary
Coaching and supporting families to better understand and meet their child's needs while helping parents build strong relationships with service providers. Connect families with community resources, support groups, and educational materials, and provide encouragement during crises. Assist with meeting preparation and collaborate with treatment teams to create individualized, family-centered service plans. Submit timely documentation, including progress notes completed collaboratively within 24 hours, and travel to meet families and attend team meetings as needed. This full-time, 40-hour weekly role requires a family member with a child who has a behavioral or emotional disorder, valid driver's license, and completion of required training and certification within six months.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED
- Must be a family member with a child who has been or currently has a behavioral or emotional disorder
- Must complete and pass the FSP Relias training and DBH FSP training, and obtain a Family Support Provider certification within 6 months of hire date
- A valid driver's license
- Agency established minimum automobile coverage
