Job Summary
The Family Support Partner delivers family-to-family support through advocacy, coaching, education, and resource coordination to families of children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing mental health challenges, helping them navigate complex social, legal, educational, and healthcare systems. Responsibilities include providing accurate information, connecting families to appropriate services and referrals, and ensuring ongoing follow-up to support families in accessing and sustaining needed care. After training, the role emphasizes education, guidance, and support, with a focus on collaboration, professionalism, and growth within a Community Based Behavioral Health and Prevention Services team.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) preferred; required within six months of hire
- Personal, lived experience as a primary caregiver of a youth, adolescent, or young adult who has/had mental health needs is required
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record in accordance with RACS policies
