Job Summary
Family Support Leader needed to work within a small team to provide bespoke support, guidance, training and strategies to families with a child who has a neurodevelopmental difference. You will act as the main point of contact for families, assess needs for appropriate signposting, deliver tailored sleep support and learning workshops, build trusted relationships, plan 1:1 and group sessions, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of local services. The role requires safeguarding compliance, GDPR adherence, accurate reporting, and willingness to travel within the community. A Level 3 qualification in a relevant field, safeguarding experience, and a valid driving licence are essential, along with the ability to work flexibly and independently within the charity’s ethos and policies.
Required Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g. autism, education, health & social care)
- Experience of safeguarding vulnerable children and young people
- Ability to travel to projects, events and meetings
- Clean full driving license with own transport
- Knowledge of safeguarding, referral routes and effective procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
