Job Summary
The Family Support and Engagement Specialist initiates and maintains long-term home visiting services, provides transportation when necessary, offers referrals to support services, and assesses participants to determine service needs. Responsibilities include delivering Healthy Families program services through in-home counseling, developing client-driven Family Goal Plans, teaching positive parenting skills, promoting the program at community events, ensuring compliance with CHS and contract standards, coordinating client transportation, maintaining records, and collaborating with stakeholders to support evidence-based initiatives and program outcomes. The role emphasizes program administration, data updates, and a strong, autonomous contribution within a mission-driven organization serving Florida’s children and families.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Florida Driver’s License within 30 days from hire with daily access to a reliable and insured vehicle
- Minimum of one year experience working with or providing services to children and families
- Minimum of one year of experience working with culturally diverse young children and families in a human services or early childhood education setting
