Job Summary

Provide 1:1 skills teaching and interventions for at-risk youth in community and home settings, focusing on basic living skills, social functioning, communication, and parent training. Deliver psycho-educational approaches, behavior modification, and insight-oriented counseling while conducting crisis interventions after typical hours of 2 PM to 8 PM daily. Attend monthly supervision and maintain clear clinical notes using proficient software. Complete mandatory training, including trauma-informed practices and internal assessments, while adhering to strict background check and drug testing requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Must pass a full FBI/Adam Walsh/ and CANS background check through the Department of Family Services
  • No previous arrests within the last 7 years other than DUIs, CPS, or Domestic Violence
  • Employer randomly drug tests (Including Marijuana)
  • Must be able to obtain a full DFS County background and Reference check
  • Must pay Nevada Residence fee ($45)
  • Must pay out-of-state relocation fees
  • Must complete TB, CPR, and internal testing
  • Must be proficient in clinical terminology
  • Must have the ability to write clear and concise notes on client interactions
  • Must have proficient knowledge of software
  • Must be able to work in after-hours Crisis Intervention
  • Must have a general sense of Trauma-Informed Practices
  • Engage Training is Required
  • Must be Flexible
  • Must have Computer and Software Knowledge
  • Must have Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have Multitasking and the ability to work with diverse people
  • Must be Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle crisis situations
  • Must have a reliable vehicle
  • Auto Insurance must be in your name or as a designated driver to the policy
  • Must be over the age of 21
  • Must have one of the following Bachelor's Degrees and/or a similar degree with at least 2 years of experience working with children: Psychology, Social Work, Anthropology, Sociology, Human Development and Family Studies, Nursing, Community Health Sciences or Health Ecology, Early Childhood Education, Education, Criminal Justice, Public Health

Desired Qualifications

  • Social Services Experience
  • Familiar with Clinical terminology and HIPAA-related policies
  • Spanish speaking a plus — bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply!
