Job Summary
Conduct in-depth family histories and assessments to integrate physical and emotional health needs for service planning. Assess behavioral and relational problems, offering services such as child care planning, crisis intervention, family mediation, and parenting workshops. Strengthen families by coordinating with foster care agencies, courts, and public assistance systems while supporting client reunification efforts. Complete all progress notes, treatment plans, and documentation in a timely fashion. Perform home and office visits as necessary. Prepare reports for leadership regarding program problems and policy changes. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Services with two years of family experience; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with families
- Familiar with clinical issues including substance abuse, domestic violence, mental health, child welfare, child development, cognitive/developmental disabilities, family re-unification, and/or family system work
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
Desired Qualifications
- MSW/LMSW or Masters in Human Services field
- Bilingual English/Spanish speaking
