Job Summary
Develop family preservation plans in coordination with the Department of Children and Families to prevent children from entering foster care. Engage families through Team Meetings, assess needs, and implement resources while ensuring referrals to external providers are completed. Maintain close contact with assigned DCF investigators to provide updates on family progress within the Family Builders Program. Conduct necessary follow-ups to verify that served families' needs are being met. This field-based role covers Saint Johns County with a flexible schedule to accommodate family appointments, requiring a full-time commitment outside standard 9-5 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social services related field
- Three years' of experience providing direct services to at risk children and families
- Must be able to complete a 3-day new hire orientation class via MSTeams
- Valid FL Driver's License
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test and TB Test
- Successfully pass a Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail

- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
