Job Summary
Provide case management, advocacy, and support services to strengthen families and improve lives in the Norfolk community. Responsibilities include conducting assessments of family and individual needs; developing and implementing service plans; investigating reports involving child, adult, and family welfare concerns; maintaining accurate case records and reports; coordinating services with community organizations and agencies; providing crisis intervention and advocacy services; participating in court proceedings and preparing case documentation; conducting home visits and client interviews; and assisting families in accessing resources such as housing, food, healthcare, and other support services. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field (or a Bachelor's in any field with at least two years of related Human Services experience); preferred BSW or MSW; Virginia Social Worker License; valid driver's license may be required; and strong communication, documentation, and case management skills.
