Job Summary
Customer service eligibility specialist role focusing on interviewing and processing electronic applications/renewals for AFS programs (SNAP, CHILD CARE, MEDICAL). Responsibilities include interpreting policy/procedures, documenting casework, providing first contact resolution via phone and online platforms, and completing mandatory in-office JumpStARt Training during the initial period before telework is approved. Occasional travel and a requirement for a valid driver’s license. Training occurs in-office for the first 120 days with potential full-time telework thereafter upon evaluation and agency director approval.
Required Qualifications
- Level I: two years of clerical office work in a business, public sector, or social work environment or equivalent combination with substitution of thirty semester hours of college for each year of required experience.
- Level II: bachelor’s degree OR associate’s degree plus two years of clerical office work in a business, public sector, or social work environment OR equivalent combination of education/experience with substitution of one additional year of professional experience for each year of the bachelor’s degree OR two years of experience as a Family Services Specialist.
