Job Summary
Family Services Specialist provides administrative, operational, and program support for the Family Services Department, serving as a central hub for coordination, communication, and day-to-day support; duties include intake coordination, confidential records management (HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2), invoices and billing support, grant reporting, scheduling and travel arrangements, maintaining inventories (Clothing Closet, Food Pantry), referrals to community resources (Medicaid, SNAP, utility assistance, emergency support), outreach and recruitment for foster/adoptive services, coordinating community events and partnerships, and serving as a communications hub within the department.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years’ experience in social services, childcare, human services, or related field.
