Job Summary
Family Services Specialist at Addus Home Care supporting families in crisis through DCFS programs (Family Habilitation Services, Visitation, and Housing). Responsibilities include transporting families for supervised/unsupervised visitations, home-based instruction in homemaking, parenting, and anger management, documenting progress and reporting outcomes, locating housing and community supports, and ensuring compliance with court-ordered programs. Requires driving focus, ability to travel, and experience in social work or family services; high school diploma or GED plus an associate degree or 2 years of child welfare experience are required. Benefits include medical plans, retirement options after 6 months, PTO up to 40 hours/year, and holiday pay; pay is $17/hour with flexible full-time/part-time schedules.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Associates degree or 2 years of child welfare experience is required
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Experience in social work, child care, or working with families is preferred
- Must have a dependable automobile, a valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance
- Must pass required background checks
