Job Summary
Lead and manage the Family Services team delivering counselling and support for children and families experiencing separation, including supervision of Family Workers and Counsellors. Responsibilities include shaping service quality, culture, and performance; developing and implementing strategies to enhance family support programmes; coordinating with internal and external stakeholders; overseeing programs across ACT and NSW; managing budgets and resources; preparing reports for stakeholders; and ensuring compliance with legislation and organisational policies. Requires a Bachelor's degree in social work or psychology (or related field) with at least 5 years of relevant experience, plus program-management and leadership capabilities, excellent communication, facilitation, and organisational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related discipline
- at least 5 years relevant experience
- Program or social/community services management experience
- Proven leadership skills and ability to supervise, develop, manage and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a wide range of stakeholders
- Presentation and group facilitation experience
- Understanding of clinical approaches and models underpinning therapeutic interventions
- Initiative and strong organisational skills
