Job Summary
Provide support to Head Start families by assessing needs, coordinating social services, delivering or coordinating services, and facilitating home visits. Conduct outreach, enrollment, and parent meetings; collaborate with staff to ensure services meet children and families’ needs; maintain confidential records; and participate in trainings and professional development. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least one Human Services course, and two years of related experience; a Family Service Worker Credential is preferred and must be obtained within the first year. Must have a valid MA driver’s license, access to a car, strong computer and communication skills, and be able to work flexible hours; 35 hours per week, full-year schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least one college course in Human Services
- At least two years' experience in a related field
- Family Service Worker Credential preferred; otherwise required within the first year of employment
- Valid Massachusetts Driver's license and access to a car (not belonging to another staff member)
- Strong computer skills, including internet, email and Excel
