Job Summary
Family Service Worker responsible for recruiting eligible children/families for enrollment, providing family support through referrals and regular contact (home visits, center visits, calls, letters), coordinating with a team to develop parent activities, and organizing meetings/workshops. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or Family Life Management, knowledge of Head Start practices, effective communication, ability to work with community agencies, and a valid driver's license. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred; position located in Southfield, MI with salary in the $40–45K range and 12-month salary distribution. Benefits include PTO, holidays, and health/dental/vision contribution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services or Family Life Management
- Working Knowledge of Head Start practices, guideline and procedures.
