Job Summary
Facilitate family-arranged placements for youth, provide psychoeducation on positive parenting, and refer clients for aftercare services to prevent state system placement. Deliver community-based crisis intervention for runaway, homeless, and locked-out youth, including after-hours on-call rotation. Conduct home visits, arrange transportation, and mitigate safety risks by reporting suspected abuse or neglect per state law. Maintain caseloads or collaborate with Family Counselors while documenting records, billing, and entering case notes into the client database. Provide referrals and linkage to community services to strengthen family support systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work or another human service field, or equivalent combination of college coursework and professional experience
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and access to reliable vehicle
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to speak English and Spanish
- Effective listening and trust-focused relationship-building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Participation in after-hours on-call crisis rotation
