Job Summary
MDFR Specialist provides in-home and community-based family recovery services, meeting clients in homes or community locations, delivering MDFR in three phases with weekly/biweekly/triweekly contact, focusing on caregivers, children, parenting and co-parenting, and connecting families to community resources. Responsibilities include coordinating services via other professionals, conducting assessments with DCF-approved tools, developing Recovery Support Plans, facilitating engagement in substance use and mental health treatment, ensuring access to developmental and medical services for children, improving parenting and family communication, and performing on-site urine drug testing/breathalyzers as required. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a valid driver’s license. Full-time position located in Norwalk, CT with location stipend offered; $4,000 sign-on bonus available (half at start, half after one year).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required (preferred in psychology, social work, or related human services)
- Experience in substance use treatment or community-based programs
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
