Job Summary
Provide individual, group, and family mental health services, case management, transportation, and other professional services, while meeting established outcomes for youth and families in the community. The role involves coordination with foster parents and families, documentation, travel to deliver community-based services, and participation in supervision, regulatory compliance, and quality-improvement activities. Requires a Master’s degree in Social Work or related field, valid professional license, driver’s license and reliable transportation, and flexibility to work non-traditional hours; duties include counseling, advocacy, crisis safety and family reunification/stabilization efforts, and collaboration with youth, families, and agency partners. Will work in Cleveland, OH within a nonprofit family-preservation program, with generous benefits and professional development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution
- 2 years of work experience in direct service with youth and families strongly preferred
- A valid advanced professional license as required and acceptable by state or contract regulations
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a good driving record
- A willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours in the service of foster caregivers, families of origin, and persons served
- Capacity to be flexible and responsive to youth served, foster caregivers, system partners, and internal customers
- Capacity to remain objective and professional in all areas of job function
- Capacity to effectively work with and be respectful and sensitive to persons from various cultures, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, and racial backgrounds
- Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs
