Job Summary
Family Practice physician needed in Daytona Beach, FL area for a full-time, long-term role. Responsibilities include building and maintaining a patient panel, focusing on preventive and value-based primary care, utilizing lab, x-ray, ultrasound, allergy resources, and Athena EMR; supervising mid-level practitioners; engaging in research activities to identify patients for studies; and supporting a collaborative, team-based environment. Hours are 9am–5pm with potential occasional longer days during peak times; no hospital or nursing home coverage required. A strong work ethic, ability to manage walk-in/add-on patients, and participation in quality measures and Meaningful Use PQRS/MIPS initiatives are expected. The founding physician is transitioning the panel to the successful candidate, with ongoing opportunities to grow patient volume.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Doctor degree (MD or DO)
- Eligible for licensure/credentialing with Medicare and commercial payors
- Willing and able to supervise mid-level practitioners
- Willing and interested in learning about our research facilities and working as a team player to identify patients that qualify for research studies
- Have excellent references
- Criminal history clear (no criminal history)
- Minimum residency training completed
