Family Practice/Pulmonology Nurse

Job Summary
Conduct vital signs, administer medications, and monitor treatment usage in a dual family practice/pulmonology setting. Take phone messages, relay prescription details to providers, and screen calls for physician referrals. Prepare exam and treatment rooms, ensuring sterilization processes are completed. Order, prepare, and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments. Perform diagnostic testing and proficiency testing on equipment, keeping accurate records of testing performed or sent to laboratories. Maintain patient electronic medical record charts and advise support personnel on scheduling tests and treatments. Complete FMLA/WC forms accurately and timely. Requires an accredited nursing graduate, current Illinois RN or LPN license, and CPR certification. Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Illinois license as a registered or licensed practical nurse
- Current CPR certification
- Good working knowledge of the nursing process and strong nursing practice skills including physical assessment skills
- Must be able to accurately and timely complete FMLA/WC forms
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical experience preferred but not required
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred
