Job Summary
Provide routine primary health care for patients of all ages by obtaining medical histories, performing physical exams, and interpreting diagnostic data to determine therapeutic plans. Administer medications and injections per state guidelines while managing medical and surgical emergencies. Collaborate with physicians to address acute and long-term needs, instruct patients on health maintenance and treatment instructions, and recommend community resources. Maintain patient records, participate in Quality Action Teams, and develop clinic policies. Adhere to regular attendance standards and stay at or below average sick leave utilization.
Required Qualifications
- Current Washington State Physician and Surgeon's License
- Knowledge and Abilities to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to read literature, charts, medical records, prescriptions, scientific and technical journals and business correspondence
- Must meet regular attendance standard
- Must stay at or below average sick leave utilization levels
- Must have the ability to interact positively with Administration, directors, managers, supervisors, peers, co-workers, subordinates, patients and visitors
- Must maintain patient confidentiality
- Adheres to the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance program
Desired Qualifications
- Possesses knowledge of patient care modalities for infants, children, adults and geriatrics
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
- Possesses knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement principles
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure
- Ability to perform the four operations with like or common decimal fractions
- Ability to compute Ratio, rate and percent
- Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to perform arithmetic operations involving all America monetary units
