Job Summary
Provide primary, acute, and chronic patient care, including emergency services, at the Association's Community Health Center and/or hospital outpatient and inpatient units. Maintain full active hospital privileges at Othello Community Hospital while developing rapport with patients of all backgrounds. Perform clinic duties for an agreed-upon number of flexible hours per week, maintaining accurate records and adhering to medical protocols. Serve as a preceptor to physicians in training, PAs, and FNP's as requested. Participate in the Health Care Provider Quality Assurance Peer Review Program, attend staff conferences, and provide consultation on administrative, medical, and policy matters to the Medical Director and Board. Devote full time and attention to the practice, including required administrative duties, while strictly avoiding outside professional services or competitive activities. Uphold confidentiality, clinic policies, and the WE CARE standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical School
- Maintain authoritative skill and knowledge in the principles of sound medical practice
- Secure good working knowledge of administrative and personnel practices
- Familiarity with the scope of practice and general knowledge of the regulatory authority governing the practice of physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners
- Be attuned to the unique needs of the indigent and underserved with practice emphasis on rural medicine needs
- At least one year of internship
- Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of Washington
- Ability to prepare basic correspondence and simple reports in Microsoft Word
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel to create tables and simple displays of information
- Ability to create basic presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Proficient in the use of Electronic Medical Record Software
- Responsible for effectively communicating basic or non-technical information to co-workers and others
- Ability to provide effective communication of information in written (including electronic) correspondence
- Job duties require the effective communication of information during informal and formal verbal presentations
