Job Summary
Family Planning Clinician delivers reproductive health care and range of services (contraception, abortion care, cancer screenings, STI testing/treatment, gender-affirming care) at the Austin Health Center/PPIL site. Responsibilities include well-person care, medical interviews, in-clinic procedures under medical director guidance (colposcopy/LEEP/med AB/expanded gynecological services as applicable), ordering and interpreting tests, patient education, chart reviews, and contributing to health center goals. Requires an Illinois-licensed RN with APRN qualifications or an Illinois-licensed Physician Assistant, plus an active DEA license and BLS certification. Travel within the area may be required; role emphasizes teamwork, efficiency (4 clinician visits per hour), and compliance with policies and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Registered nurse with current Illinois license and advanced practice nurse qualifications OR physician assistant with active Illinois license
- Active DEA license (PPIL will cover cost to obtain if not held)
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
