Job Summary
Family Physician provides patient-centered primary care in a health center, diagnosing and treating diseases, prescribing medications, maintaining medical records, coordinating care with mid-level practitioners (nurse practitioners and physician assistants), and contributing to education and quality initiatives. The role includes on-call coverage, flexible hours to ensure weekend/evening coverage, participation in staff conferences, and collaboration with clinical teams to support patient care, education of medical students/residents, and development of policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (must achieve Board Certification)
- Graduation from an accredited school of medicine
- Completion of a residency program in a primary care area (Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Pediatrics)
- Current DEA certificate
- Current hospital admitting privileges and credentials
- Current insurance privileges and credentials
- Valid Ohio medical license
- Current BLS Certification
