Job Summary
Provide family-to-family support, education, advocacy, coaching, and follow-up to caregivers navigating behavioral health, social, legal, and healthcare systems. Offer strengths-based, non-judgmental guidance to help families identify challenges, build natural support networks, and access available resources while advocating on their behalf with key stakeholders. Facilitate workshops on behavioral health topics, maintain accurate service documentation, and represent MCF on state and local committees to amplify family voices in policy conversations. Work out of the Baltimore Crisis Response office two to three times weekly, residing in Baltimore City.
Required Qualifications
- Personal, lived experience as a primary parent or caregiver of an individual with a substance use challenge
- Residency in Baltimore City
- High school diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- some combination of college and/or professional work experience
- Familiarity with state and local resources and knowledge of how to access them
- Prior experience assisting other families in obtaining appropriate services and supports for their child or family members
- Familiarity and comfort with public speaking and conducting outreach to the community
- Willingness and strong ability to build and maintain partnerships with agencies and providers
