Job Summary
Lead outreach to families in the community and Christian school while overseeing discipleship ministries and children's programs for birth through sixth grade. Develop and implement small group initiatives, recruit and equip volunteers, and manage special events including festivals, VBS, and summer camp. Provide pastoral care to families, oversee childcare and Sunday programming, and lead elementary chapel at Westover Christian Academy. Ensure all safety policies and background checks are followed.
Required Qualifications
- Meet the qualifications of a pastor/elder according to 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, and 1 Peter 5
- A man who is humble, teachable, and deeply committed to God's Word and prayer
- Holds a high view of God, the sufficiency of Scripture, the local church and the sovereign grace of God
- In full agreement with the statement of faith and philosophy of ministry of Westover Baptist Church
- Able to preach and teach with clarity and conviction
- Proven leadership and organizational skills
- A self-starter who takes initiative in setting and accomplishing established goals
- Possesses a heart for outreach, discipleship and children
- Pursues excellence in all things for the glory of God
- Skilled in communicating biblical truth on age-appropriate levels
