Job Summary
Supervise children during program activities, intervene in crises using appropriate techniques including WELLE restraint, and drive the program van while accompanying staff. Complete daily documentation of children's progress in the milieu and maintain contact with caregivers to conduct outreach to their families in their homes and communities. This part-time role offers 20 hours per week with a bilingual Spanish requirement and a $2,500 language differential. Candidates must have lived experience as a caregiver of a youth with special needs and a valid Massachusetts driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Lived experience as a parent or direct caregiver of a youth in their family with significant social, emotional, behavioral health, medical or trauma-related needs
- Associates degree in a human service field and one year of related experience with target population
- High School diploma/GED and a minimum of two years relevant experience
- Experience as a caregiver of a youth with special needs (preferably mental health needs)
- At least one year of experience working with school age children
- Bilingual Spanish
- Valid Mass drivers license
- Offsite travel
