Job Summary
Bookkeeper for a family office handling payments across personal, household, and entity expenses, focusing on accounts payable, vendor coordination, and bank reconciliation while maintaining strict confidentiality. Responsibilities include processing invoices, ensuring timely payments of utilities, mortgages, insurance, payroll, and other recurring bills; managing one-time payments; performing monthly reconciliations; maintaining vendor records; providing weekly/monthly expense reports; assisting with budgeting and year-end reporting for tax advisors. Requires detail-oriented, reliable individuals with strong organizational, communication, and confidentiality skills.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of bookkeeping or accounts payable experience; family office, private household, or professional services experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency with accounting and bill pay systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Bill.com, or similar).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- High level of discretion and professionalism.
- Strong Excel and reporting skills.
