Job Summary
Family Nurse Practitioner (Float) providing comprehensive primary care across the lifespan in Los Angeles with St. John’s Community Health. Deliver high-quality, community-based care in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting; perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, educate patients and families, document in the EHR, and support health equity and outreach. Float across Los Angeles clinic locations with a schedule including 5 days/week, two Saturdays per month, and one evening clinic per week (11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.). Requires active California NP license and board certification (AANP or ANCC), NP Furnishing Number (or eligibility); DEA registration and BLS; familiarity with EHR systems. Compensation ranges $160,000–$210,000 annually, with benefits and professional development opportunities. Located in Los Angeles, CA with clinics across the area; position emphasizes mission-driven, community-focused primary care in an FQHC setting.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Completion of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program
- National board certification (AANP or ANCC)
- Active, unrestricted California NP license
- NP Furnishing Number (or eligibility)
- For Physician Assistants (PA): Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- National board certification (NCCPA)
- Active, unrestricted California PA license
- Active DEA registration and BLS certification
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
